The Loop

Step 2. Choose a Property.

The Loop gets its name from the way that the subway routes loop around the neighborhood. The Loop is considered the central business district of the city of Chicago. The Loop is also synonymous with downtown Chicago and this is where many of the worlds leading global companies have their headquarters or at least their regional headquarters.

Living in The Loop can be very convenient if you also work there. If you work in the suburbs, the commute can be very easy as this neighborhood is the center of all public transportation (buses & subway) as well as the commuter train routes (known as the Metra) that expand out to all major suburbs.

The nearest grocery store is a 7-10 minute walk, Grant and Millennium Park is also a 7-10 minute walk and the lakefront is approximately a 15 minute walk. The Loop is also home to many of Chicago’s famous theaters and restaurants and is near restaurant row in West Loop.
